McCain/Graham vs. Hillary Clinton on Benghazi!
Hillary will mop the floor with these dudes!

Our first political post was intentionally put out after the election.  The material in this post is actual facts combined with my personal opinion and it is somewhat saddening, that someone is falling from greatness, to lie in ignorance. It’s sad because I’ve always liked John McCain and respected him as a man that put integrity above partisanship, but it seems, I was wrong.

On November 14th 2012 Sen. John McCain(R-AZ) and Sen. Lindsey Graham(R-SC) has taken the stance of wanting a committee to review the Benghazi security meltdown to assign blame, point out the communication failures as well as the security failures, and put in place protocols to prevent another catastrophe such as this.  This is a good thing.  The bad however, is that they want to try and link the communication failures as a possible cover up and say that the communication mastermind was UN Ambassador
Susan Rice.

There is nothing to gain to ruin this woman’s career other than a possible senate seat for their former congressional buddy Fmr. Sen. Scott Brown(R-MA).  Susan Rice just read information that was provided to her and it just happened to be wrong.  It was no
different than the wrong information put out by several key Bush 43 administration personnel that said Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.  In Susan Rice’s defense, she doesn’t have access to the information it had to be provided for her.  She doesn’t give orders on how to defend the complex nor is she responsible for staffing security in the consulate.  She also was not given nor is she in the chain of command that was given a request for more security.

So why is she the scapegoat?  Why is a potential cabinet position going to be blocked for reading talking points?  Why is she being
held liable for the lives of four Americans when clearly she had no authority to send them there or send them additional security personnel?  Why would Lindsey Graham say he just don’t trust her for doing something she was asked to do when clearly she doesn’t have the means to fact check what was given to her?  She entrusted the information given to her no different than Condoleezza Rice entrusted the felonious information that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.

So why not go after Sec. Hillary Clinton?  She has privy to the information in real time. So why not go after Pres. Obama? After
all, he has said numerous times the he is ultimately responsible.  I’ll tell you why, because the whole argument is Partisan and there is nothing to gain as far as they know for going after either one of them.

Pres. Obama could have a fall guy like Oliver North and say he screwed up everything and they give him a slap on the wrist and Pres. Obama is once again given the go ahead by the American people to continue with his agenda.  He could come out right now and say “I messed up and I’m sorry it won’t happen again.” There will be some outrage but not to where they would impeach him and put Vice Pres. Biden in the position of president with the ability to run again in four years.  The American people will eventually forgive him going forward provided we have no more instances such as Benghazi.

Going after Sec. Clinton is pretty much suicide since she is retiring in 2013, so she says.  Once again nothing to gain or is there?  If they were smart, which it’s hard to give them the nod for that, they would have went after Sec. Clinton for the whole debacle.  This would ensure in 2016 she would have stayed retired.  Her being retired is an important thing because honestly, in my opinion,
there is not a Republican in office to this date that could beat Hillary Clinton in a Presidential election.

Versus cutting their losses and trying to do right by the American people, these senators want to play politics.  But they want to go after a woman they know they could easily back down and force Sen. John Kerry into the Secretary of State position and re-open a Massachusetts senate seat for their buddy Fmr. Sen. Scott Brown(R-MA).

However, make no mistake; Hillary is not by any means an easy win.  This is why they intentionally are avoiding trying to battle her on it.  And going after her now would only re-enforce what I said about trying to ruin her chances in 2016.  You should have done it before I said it.  To save face they should just bite their tongues and let this story die down on its own.  Let Susan Rice  get her appointment and let Fmr. Sen. Scott Brown(R-MA), try his luck again in two to four years and maybe he will run a better campaign so he can get elected.   But they probably
won’t do that and they wonder why people say that the Republican Party is out of
touch with the American people and our
values.
